LUNS

Quality Management

Quality Accreditation Held

LUNS currently holds ISO 9001:2000 certification for the supply of communication infrastructure and services. LUNS first received this accreditation in April 2009. We successfully underwent an annual surveillance visit in April 2010, carried out by the British Accreditation Bureau. This certification covers all areas of LUNS’ business activities from the design, build and support of the services we deliver through to the administrative and human resource functions carried out by the company.

In addition to our ISO 9001 certification, LUNS has also undergone UVDB Verify assessment and scored 94.5% for our quality processes in the most recent assessment. The UVDB Verify process is the recognised standard used to evaluate suppliers to the UK Utilities Sector.

LUNS is currently in the process of attaining ISO27001 accreditation in recognition of our commitment to Information Technology. We have undergone a Gap Analysis and hope to receive confirmation of full accreditation in the near future.

LUNS is also ITILv3-conformant which is the accepted standard for IT Service Management. The relevant teams within the company that are responsible for service delivery have received ITILv3 training which ensures consistency of delivery and adherence to best practice methodology.

Project Management
All projects that we undertake are managed in accordance with PRINCE2 methodology and all our Project Managers hold current PRINCE2 Practitioner qualifications. By adopting this approach, all projects follow a well-defined set of processes with quality checks throughout the project lifecycle ensuring that the delivered solution meets customers’ quality requirements.

Audit Process
In the pursuit of continual improvement, LUNS regularly audits its management processes and holds quarterly quality reviews in addition to the annual external assessments. These reviews take input from a number of sources including the results from the internal and external audits, feedback from customers and any technological changes that may impact the way in which we deliver services.

As a company we strive to continually adapt and improve its procedures, processes, practices and operational methods to ensure best and most cost effective and efficient use of resource and provision of the highest quality outcomes. To that end, our quality documentation is constantly updated and those updates, fed out to affected staff.
